I just wanna say thanks to everyone who gave us ideas of how we could use our empty rooms, and here is what we did:

1) Living Room

I didnt really change this one, except getting rid of some clutter which I could put in the next room…

2) Display Room

This room was originally the study but I decided to move that to my sixth room, and this one became a room to put all my bits and bobs in, to declutter any other rooms. Although it doesnt have very much stuff in now, I have a lot more toys to fill up this room!

3) Kitchen

4) Bathroom

5) Bedroom

6) Study and Trophys Room

This room used to be where the Display Room is now, but I think it is better in the sixth room! Me and Lily are still working to fill this room up. Any ideas?

Hello everybody!

My name is Win and I will now be doing a decorating blog for PS Chatter!  As you can see, my username in PS Chatter is “winnieee”.  Yeah, that’s me.  First, I would like to introduce myself.  I am 15 and I currently live in Bangkok, Thailand and I hate the extremely hot and humid weather here.  I travel quite a lot and love the sights of different countries, but I am obsessed with beaches and tropical stuff, where it is hot and dry.  I love art and decorating houses, so I immediately got addicted to Pet Society and now play everyday to get coins to buy the new furniture every Monday.  My pet’s name is Sugar. She is a tanned cat, but her skin color and outfits change regularly because she gets bored of the same things easily.

Ok, so let’s get started.  The first thing you all have to know is to follow these 7 decorating rules that will make your house look like a million coins, no matter how big it is or how many coins you have.

1. Keep your house clean.  Please don’t throw everything into the first room.  Distribute the things around to keep a clean look.  Don’t put EVERY luxury item you have into ONE room.  Instead of making that room luxurious, you’ll make it look like a storage closet.
2. Try to use floors and walls that support each other.  Get the match.  The checkered floor for 2500 coins, the wooden floors for cheaper, and the stone floor for 1500 coins are great floors and match with a variety of wallpapers.  If you start to get used to decorating, you will have a feeling about what goes well with each other.  Trust that feeling and your house will not only be pretty, it’ll be original and extraordinary too.
3.Matching doors and windows are perfect.  It makes your house look more expensive because it makes the mind think that those were custom-made.  This is a perfect trick I use ALL THE TIME.  Some windows like the Roman Colosseum can be used as a door instead and the Paris windows can match with the brown door as well.  Compromise with things you have.
4. Too much gold is bad.  Too much silver or bronze is just as bad.  Unless that room is especially designed for trophy displaying, don’t put all of them in one room, so please, don’t hog your walls and valuable shelf space for trophies that will make that room look tacky.
5. Stick to a simple theme for the room and try to use furniture that matches the theme and you can also improvise.  The 600-coin terra cotta pot can be blended in with the Japanese tea set or even some Asian themed items to add a bit of brown into the picture.
6. Color is very important.  Don’t ever use purple with yellow or green with orange, unless you’re making a fruit arrangement in a basket.  These combinations look awful.  Try to stick with colors in the same tone area.  Orange and cream and white is a good combination.  Pink and white is a gorgeous tone for a lot of bedrooms that tons of my friends currently use.  Experiment around and you will find that decorating your house is not that hard.  Black and white are two VERY useful colors that go with almost everything.
7. For those less fortunate, work hard and HUG EVERYONE.  Yes, my house is pretty and expensive and all, but I am STILL LESS FORTUNATE.  You need coins to buy furniture to decorate.  I can expect that a total refurnishing for a 5 to 7 room house goes around 20,000 coins.  This means that most of the furniture is new and that you have absolutely no usable furniture.  So start hugging, people!!This is it for now and I will update this series of posts often to help people who are redecorating.

Ever since I started playing PS, and understood the importance of “This Week Only” and “This Week Special” items, I always try to remember to include the NIS foods.

There’s quite a large market out there for NIS foods, especially those from Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! I’ve given up trying to acquire at least one of each NIS food item, ever since I completed my toy collection I just assumed that was my lucky streak. So I buy multiples of the NIS foods, before they leave shops, and I sell some and keep some.

So what I wanted to know is if anyone does the same and how much you would keep for yourself. I use food to decorate, set my table, cook in the kitchen, those kinds of things, I don’t typically display them with pride like I do my doll collection. Here’s my question for my PS Chatter buddies:

If you had 30 of every NIS food, how many of each would you keep? Let’s assume for some reason you HAD to sell all you were going to sell, and couldn’t change your mind later and buy back or sell more. Would it be even? Would you keep the same amount of each food item? Or would you keep more of a favorite?

Come to the forum post and tell me what you would do with ALL that food!

By now, you must have heard that you can go fishing in Pet Society. Exciting! But fishing is not easy. In fact, I felt like a real dummy as my pet cast his rod again and again, only to see the fish escaping with his bait. Like the hurdle races at the stadium, catching a fish takes practice.

Tips for Catching Fish in Pet Society

1. First, read the directions below the pond.
2. When you receive a bite, click and hold your pet to start reeling in the fish. You’ll know you have a bite when there is a splash in the water.
3. Release a little when the fish struggles. You’ll know the fish is struggling when there are bubbles in the water and your pet scrunches his/her face.
4. Do not fight with the fish. Be zen about this. Let go for a moment until the water is calm again. Then click again and reel the fish in.
5. The fish may struggle a few more times. Repeat steps 3-4 as you reel the fish closer toward you.
6. Different food items will attract different types of fish. Since you might not catch a fish the first time around, try practicing with cheap items (banana, apple, corn, etc.) until you master the skill.

Remember, do not fight with the fish. If you try too hard, the fish will go away. Hmm, that sounds like classic dating advice. The fish will only stay hooked if you pretend every once in a while that you don’t want it!

Once the fish is caught, it can only be stored in your chest or in an aquarium. Aquariums are available at the Garden Store. As of July 24, 2009, fish cannot be eaten by your pets. They are just for decoration. Since it will take some time to fill up the aquarium, I stuffed it with other kinds of things in my chest. The mochi ball actually bounces within the tank.

There are now 13.4 million Pet Society players. This is more than the population of some countries. It is nearly the population of Sweden and Norway put together.

Not so impressed? These are, after all, big cold countries with not too many people.  So to put these figures another way: There are more Pet Society players than there are people in jam-packed Tokyo (12 million) or my birthplace, Seoul (10.3 million). And according to Playfish, a half-million people install Pet Society, Crazy Planets, Restaurant City or any of the company’s other games each day. That’s like adding a city like Seattle to the map every single day. Whoa, thank goodness this is all virtual, otherwise we’d have some serious overpopulation issues.

Hi! I’m Melanie. And this is Star, my adorable pet. =]

That’s quite an old photo, actually, but it’s the best =] She’s always buying new outfits - Star loves shopping! Her current outfit is a beach outfit to match her front room, which isn’t complete yet because she’s always shopping and has no money left! Still, she loves her home, even if it isn’t totally glamorous.

Her daily routine involves being washed, brushed & fed her favourite food (it changes every day!) Then she goes to visit her friends and sometimes visits the stadium - not a lot though, she’s very lazy! After all that, she relaxes by shopping, then sitting in her house admiring her new stuff!

The Dancer - The traditional look straight out of Moulin Rouge. Dance and party like it’s 1899! Altogether, this outfit costs 700 coins. It’s this week’s special, which means today (Sunday) might be the last day it’s available.

The Birthday Girl - Aww, isn’t she lovely! This look uses the Lolita Hairband, Classic Tuxedo Pants (300 coins) and Lolita Shoes. Unfortunately, the Lolita items aren’t in the stores any more, but you can probably find good alternatives. For shoes, try the Red Flip-Flops (100) or Roman Sandals (150). For the head, try the Frangipani Hairclip (200) or the Gingerbread Hairband (400). The important thing is to use your imagination. Don’t be afraid to mix and match items from an outfit.

The Beach Babe - Perfect for a party by the ocean or garden, this look uses the Daffodil Hat (800 coins) and Red Flip-Flops (100).

The Schoolboy - My personal favorite. My pet is technically a boy, and every once in a while, he actually looks like one, instead of a flaming cross-dresser. For this look, I took the Cancan Shoes, the Fauntleroy Jacket and the Gaucho Hat (200 coins). Unfortunately, the Fauntleroy Jacket is no longer available in the stores, but you can try substituting with the Sailor Shirt (200, hurry, this week’s special), Red Tunic (450) or Gaucho Shirt (550).

The school’s been buzzing about the party all week long. And I am proud to say that I had something to do with that You’ll hear in the hallways, people talking about what to wear, what time they’ll show, and funny enough, who is Trixy But hey, it’s about bonding with existing friendships and making new ones on the way.

Like what I’ve mentioned last week, the gang hasn’t been to Trixy’s house. But we’ve all been curious as to what Trixy’s house would be. I for one, think it’s a very simple and nice home because Trixy’s very simple at school, she doesn’t wear too much accessories and doesn’t like very expensive items. Both Jassy and Maui think it’s a very modest home that could fit 5 people because they think Trixy has a big brother and a little sister. While the very silly Popcorn, thought it was a haunted house and that Trixy’s a vampire; the reason why she doesn’t speak much. I don’t know, his imagination runs wild sometimes. But anyhoo, where were we? Oh yes! Trixy’s actual house. Honestly, when I could see it from across the block, I immediately dropped my jaws and stopped. IT WAS A MANSION! It was so big and they even had a car! I was so shocked, I never knew Trixy was so rich! She’s so humble

I met Trixy’s sister in the living room and led me to the back of the house. I passed by their kitchen and my heart melted when I saw cakes, cupcakes, spaghetti, literally, food was everywhere! Not to mention Popcorn trying to sneak a bite at one of the cupcakes. Good thing Trixy’s mom caught him, silly Popcorn. I tried to peek from the glass doors in the kitchen and I saw tons of people outside, new and old faces.

Just when I was about to go outside, Maui and Jassy arrived and offered help in the kitchen. The only people missing in the gang are Paquito and Uno but later on, I saw them both swimming already by the lake But where’s Trixy in all of these, you ask? Her sister told me that Trixy was so overwhelmed that a lot of people came that she ran to her room, but, her sister assured me that Trixy will soon come down.

Finally, after going through the big mansion, we arrived at the back. It was so great to see everyone having a great time. Balloons and banners were everywhere and everyone was laughing and cheering. Because the gang was busy with other things, I took time to talk to the others. I found out that Ploink and Palank were married, LadyFendi and Rupert loves bubbles and the water, while Lily writes the Fashion Updates (while on the party, Lily would get her laptop and note the beautiful clothes everyone was wearing). No wonder, Nelli, Meep, and Lily got along so well

Of course, my much awaited event started: eating time! Everyone’s eyes were twinkling when the spaghetti came, even more so when the cakes were served. I was so stuffed after but I noticed someone who was even more stuffed, Killer. He was so stuffed that he couldn’t even stand up anymore, lol. We even played games. The pinata was taken outside and Trixy did the honor of hitting it. Everyone was so excited to get the candies inside that G-Party and Alex was in front of the rest.

As we watched the sun set, you could see that the smiles started to fade. I guess they realized that the party’s about to end. We all had fun and surely, this party will be missed. But just before the gang and I were about to leave, Trixy wanted to tell me that she had fun and hoped that everyone who came enjoyed as well. So we wanted to mention everyone who came (but for those who didn’t, I’m sure we’ll have more chances to come):

This article is about Pet Society on Facebook only - Just to let you know

Hi, Jess here, Does anyone else have problems loading Pet Society? I have always had to leave a while loading it, but recently it has been really bad, I havent been able to load it since the weekend. I have had a lot of different messages coming up. One which I have had today is about my account, and I have had about the connection to Pet Society and also the one about maintenance. Has anybody else had this problem? If so, has anyone got any solutions or help?!
